Opening hours for 2024

Winter season, February 23rd – April 28th
Summer season, June 29th – September 29th

The restaurant offers a three-course dinner at 6:00 PM, chef’s choice.
All guests are required to pre-book no later than the day before. As we have a limited number of guests at a time, we recommend booking earlier than that, especially if you live in one of our cottages or at the hostel and wish to book meals in the restaurant. Please note that any special dietary requirements must be booked no later than one week in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Between seasons, it is possible to book meals in connection with overnight stays for at least 10 people. Please note that we are closed during Christmas and New Year holidays.

From soil to table!

We prepare our dishes using locally sourced, organic ingredients that we grow ourselves. We believe in cooking everything from scratch, just like in the old days. We have our own animals and we purchase meat with a focus on building relationships with our suppliers. This way, we know exactly where our meat comes from what the animals have eaten, and how they have been raised. We cultivate nearly all of our vegetables, root vegetables, berries, and spices on-site, despite being in zone 8, which is a real mountain garden with stunning views of the Skäckerfjällen mountains. We also grow tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash in our greenhouse, which we use in our restaurant. Our chef, Micke, processes the raw meat into sausages, hams, and pies, which are available as long as supplies last. In the autumn, we take the time to preserve and dry the products that our garden has provided, so that we have good produce to use in our restaurant during the winter season when fresh ingredients are not available from our cultivation.

Breakfast:

Our breakfast buffet includes organic yogurt, oatmeal, hot bread, cold cuts from local ingredients, homemade marmalades, fruits, nuts, seeds, onions, and juices served slightly warm.

Packed lunch:

You can make your own lunch package from the breakfast buffet. We provide take-out bags, and you can fill your thermos with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.

Dinner:

We serve a fixed three-course menu, the chef’s choice with flavors from Jämtland.
Our menu has local, Jämtland flavors, such as reindeer, moose, char, own lamb/sheep, etc.
We grow our own potatoes and vegetables and pick ingredients from the forest, such as chanterelles and cloudberries. The food is prepared from scratch and the menu is determined by supply and demand.
If you have any special dietary requirements, there may be an additional charge for it. However, there is no extra charge for allergies.

Drink:

We offer a combination of food and drink, including wines that are sourced from different parts of the world and are mostly organic. Our wine suppliers come in both small and larger sizes. We also have local beer from Jämtland and Härjedalen, as well as non-alcoholic alternatives from Jämtland’s vineyard, amongst others.
