The Hotel

If you stay at the hotel, beds and final cleaning are always included. You can choose from the following options for meals in the restaurant: half board, full board, or breakfast only. Half board includes breakfast and a three-course dinner. Full board allows you to make a lunch-pack from the breakfast buffet and fill your thermos with hot water or coffee.

The rooms in Kolåsen are located at the top, offering picturesque views of the mountains and the lake. For early risers, there is the chance to have morning coffee outside the rooms. Each room is personally decorated with different historical themes related to Kolåsen, and they all have unique names and decor. For instance, The Churchill Room is named after Winston Churchill’s supposed visit in the 19th century, while The King’s Room is named after visiting Bernadottes, like Gustav V’s brothers and Carl XVI Gustav’s grandfather, Gustav VI Adolf. The Sami room is named after Kalls Sami village, Sweden’s smallest, where Sami people have their reindeer grazing in Skäckerfjällen, and the Sami have always been a part of Kolåsen. The Flower Room is named in honor of the mountain’s first tourists, who were botanists or people who came for the fresh air. “Fiskerummet”, “Jaktrummet”, and “Skidrummet” are all named after the activities that once were and still are the reason for many guests’ visits to Kolåsen. “Engnérska rummet” is named after Nisse and Edith Engnér, who had the current hotel built in 1934. All rooms have a private sink, and there are shared showers and toilets located in the corridor. Linen, towels, final cleaning, and sauna are always included.

Meals can be pre-booked at the restaurant.

Currently, meal bookings cannot be made online. Please email us your request and we will assist you in the booking process.

All prices are listed under the BOOK HERE section on our website. However, if you have any questions or would like to inquire about pricing, please feel free to contact us via email or phone. Some of our cabins and the hostel may be open during the off-season, and therefore cannot be booked online. In such cases, please send us an email, and we will be happy to assist you with your booking.
