BY CAR
Road 336 to Kolåsen is considered one of the most beautiful roads in Sweden. Take the E14 from Östersund to Järpen, and then the 336. From there, follow the 336 and enjoy an 80 km scenic drive to Kolåsen. Alternatively, you can reach Kolåsen by driving through Verdalsora in Norway. This route is 75 km from Åre Björnen and takes you past Huså Manor and Digernäset.

TRAIN & BUS
The train from Stockholm stops in Järpen (80 km from Kolåsen). From there you can take bus 551, Mon-Fri at 15.45 from Järpen to Kallsedet (10 km from Kolåsen), where we can collect you if you have booked this in advance. You can also order the “+trafik” on bus 551’s timetable. The letter D means that you can book a ride in advance by calling 0647-10400. You should place your order before 3:00 PM on the weekday before you travel. This is also only available Mon-Fri.

Cars can be hired in Järpen, and we recommend contacting Årebärgar’n AB at  0647 611 465.
We also have a car for hire to and from Järpen. This must be booked in advance. You can also order a taxi from one of the companies in Åre.
